What is the largest city in the USA not visited by a US Interstate?

(hint: this city is located in a state that was one of the original 13 British colonies.)

I don't know if this is the answer, but looking as my map, Lynchburg, Virginia, is a fairly large city that is quite some distance from I-81, the nearest interstate.

Alameda, Calif.....Although Interstates are nearby, as with just about every city in the U.S. you have to travel at the very least 2.5 miles to enter it.

Nope. The largest is Honolulu.
