I was shocked! For those who don't know, Benjamin Hendrickson who played Hal Munson on As The World Turns committed suicide last weekend. I heard he'd been depressed since his mother died of cancer and that he'd also lost a brother to the disease. It was very surreal seeing him on the TV one minute and hearing he was dead the next. His last airdate is July 12th.

I am horrified about Hal Munson. Anytime anybody takes their own life its just unspeakable. I wonder what Hal's problem with his life was. Obviously he was depressed. My sympathy goes out to his family and his TV family as well.

I was shocked to read that he had killed himself. Over the past couple of years he seemed to do stuff to change his appearance like the hair implants and tanning. I guess no matter what he did, he still didn't feel good about himself. It's sad.

I was. Suicide is so hard on family's. My thoughts are with his TV and real family. Depression can be hidden well by some.

I was shocked..............I've been watching his character on ATWT for a long time, and now he's gone.
He will be sadly missed
