If you have a job when applying for college does that look better on the application than someone who doesn't? Do they even consider looking at that part, and take it into consideration? Basically would you have better chances getting in if you've had a job through highschool?

College admissions boards want to know what kind of student you are--not what kind of worker you are (that comes later...).

Focus on school work, if you are not required to work because of a family obligation, etc. If you are only trying to pad the college application--FORGET ABOUT IT!

Unless something changed since I graduated, the only thing that matters is if you can pay and how high your test scores are.
