There are several services that offer legal downloads of music for less than a dollar each.

Each site has different terms of use, so you may want to check to see which one meets your needs the best.

Here's a good review site that I found that details several of the most popular services. http://www.music-download-rating.com/?gclid=CILGkOuQgoYCFRDGPgoddRfd_A

If you do not want to commit to anything at 79 cents a song, walmart is the lowest out there.

However, I have found that what you can do with the music once you have it is more important. For the most flexibilty with the music once you own it and simply the best software for music get Itunes. You can get music, videos, and podcasts(which are free).

If you are still unsure, here are some review sites. Not sure how much they will help since neither of them seems to have included Itunes or Walmart.

Cheapest I have found is Wal-Mart online as they have music download for 88 cents per song. A place to check out that might have a song or two of a favorite artisit for free is CNET.Com's music section. My son was able to download new songs by Fallout Boy, Hawthorne Heights and Green Day's "When September Ends" for free.
