Sure, all countries do, but Brazil is characterized for the amount of quality players
Is just a matter of the proliferation of the soccer in the country. The boys, since they are very young start playing and have a ball in their feet. Is also about the promotion that the sport get in the country.
Is like asking why US produce so many baseball or basketball players.

If you look at a lot of the Brazilian players they have all grown up in a similar enviornment, In poor areas where people struggle to earn enough money to live. Most of the kids have very little to do so they go to the streets play football, if they are lucky they have a football if not then they will play with anything because they love the game.
On another note as it is their #1 sport kids are encouraged at an early age and many do not play with full size footballs, they play with balls sometimes the size of tennis balls or footballs that are half the size of normal footballs, they do this to learn the skills and tricks that many brazilans use today and there way of thinking is that if you can play football and do tricks with a small ball then it is a lot easier using a full size ball.
I have been to brazil and been to some of the less fourtnate areas and it is amazing to see children of all ages playing football and many just practising different skills and flicks.

you look at any top european club in europe (bar england) and their main players are brazilian. and im not just talking about the milans and barcas of this world. even team like schalke and shahkter and all european teams have top class brazilians. players like alex from fenerbache and alex from psv cant even get into the national team. there are so many top class players that would get into most teams but because brazil produces so much they dont have a chance. the reason why they do is because kids there are poor and so they practise all day and night to try and make a better future for themselves. as football doesnt cost alot and can be played anywhere, that is how they occupy alot of their time.

It's probably in their genes,it's just a shame the present players can not play very well as a team! Tactically they have never been world class and have always relied on the individual players skill and have always been susceptible to counter attack. Still they are always enjoyable to watch and Ronaldinho is the most gifted player and Renaldo is now the fattest!

Brasil is NOT a one sport town..they beat the USA in Basketball...BUT..soccer is obviously what they're known for..
The USA tends to treat Soccer as spillage..in that we have too many sports here...so soccer gets left to the side once middle school and HS sports take the reigns..
in Brasil..soccer is the cheapest most available sport that you can play on every street...and they do..
