The way this question keep`s coming up amazes me don't people read the other question`s. Wayne Rooney (spelt right)is only 20 he will improve if people allow him to. So the best way for that to happen is to stop asking stupid question`s over & over again. Yes Blue Star I remember Alan Smith maybe if he had`nt broken his leg people would have been talking about him, he is back with Manchester United in September.

Wayne Rooney wants to win at all costs. Most of us do in life and a lot of people will go to greater lengths to win then others. He was frustrated with the situation he was in playing by himself up front and not getting any service. His aggressiveness and wanting to win also make him a great player. He just needs to harness it better and he'll be one of the greatest players that ever "stamped" (I mean stepped) on to a football pitch.

its a question that bugs me... he is also impatient and foul mouthed.
my only guess is that he is still young and he should start taking anger management classes. I think it's that he ain't wise as the other players are and throws his temper about to get what he wants, but its the wrong way because you sent off.
But do you remember anyone by the name of Alan Smith? Oh my god he was terrible as well he couldn't be in the World Cup 2006 due to injury (out for 12months). He was foul mouth, bad tempered tw*t only he is better looking than Rooney and he plays in Manchester United as well.

All good strikers are aggressive, it comes with the job.

If you mean "why cant he keep his mouth shut?" then thats probably because he's still a only a kid and not mature yet.. His attitude will improve as he gets older and more experienced, and his raw aggression will become controlled aggression.

Because Rooney loves to play football and win! Even though he'll mature, I hope he never loses it
