yes and i'm not a smoker.
but i don't think that smokers being forced out on the streets is any better as walking down the street is filthy now. so just give them space to smoke and we will all be happy.

Sorry I have no sympathy, pity, and couldn't care less for any smokers...I used to be a two pack a day smoker ,Marbrol reds. I had no idea what a nuisance the smoke and smell was until I gave it up....lucky for me the restaurants in my town are non-smoking...I do from time to time crave it, that never goes away, but I will never start back up...

i asked this question myself a week or 2 back - i didn't get any satisfactory answers lol
Afterthought:
Sydney Harbour Bridge (in Australia) has about 6 lanes in each direction with something like a million vehicles passing through each day. Between the lanes at one end are a set of booths where the toll collectors are.
Its rather ironic that they are expected to collect the tolls all day which breathing all those exhaust fumes but they aren't allowed to have a cigarette

I don't think so. Smoking is much worse than drinking, because the drunkard spoils only his and his family life, but the smoker not only spoils his life, but also the life of others who unfortunately happen to be near him.

It is totally different than drinking... no one ever threw a bottle of beer in my face and made me inhale it. No one ever spit beer in my face as I walked into a grocery store. No one ever stood nest to me in line and drizzled beer down my clothes so they smelt bad until I washed them.
It is absolutely fair. When I smoked I thought the same thing as you do. Since I quit, I don't want to keep breathing it.

Of course, but isn't it expected? Besides, life's not fair and smokers have to grow up and learn to deal with people just as much as everyone.

Actually I think students should be allowed to take a phone to school. They should have it off in classes but can make calls during breaks. The same goes for the teachers. Are you sure the teachers are allowed to have them on, or they just do?

I don't agree. I don't care if someone smokes, but I don't want to breath in that garbage by default. So, if you want to smoke in your own home, or in a designated (preferably outdoor) space where I'm not subjected to it...great.

i agree with that fact, that drinking can cause more pain and damage, however smoking hurts others around you without you and them even knowing it...it's a silent killer so i guess that's y....just puff away and if any1 cares well...puff in their face...that's wat i do =p
