LAsik Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges lasik surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as lasik surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your laser surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

i ahd LASIK surgery last july and i love it. i wore glasses from like 4th grade and am now 27. i was completely blind without them. i had the surgery and was able to see pretty good within a day. and it progressivley got better. the only side affect i have noticed is my night vision isnt as good. especially driving at night if there are lots of lights like in big city traffic i get all discombobulated (spelling). i would and have recommended it to anyone who would like to rid themselves of the burden of glasses/contacts. it was a quick painless procedure that has completely changed my appearance and self-esteem.
it should be noted that LASIK surgery cannot reverse the effects of old age. your eye sight is going to deteriate naturally and LASIK will not reverse or cure this. even though my vision is great now when i get old i will more than likely need glasses again for reading at least.

My sister had Lasik surgery a while ago and her eyesight is better than mine now. She had pretty bad eyesight, wore contacts or glasses and now she sees clearly. She won't need glasses now until she dies. It is expensive though. Your doctor should tell you if your a candidate for it anyway. Some people can't be done for certian problems with their eyes. So you need to be tested out first, before anything is done.

Make sure the doctor doing the surgery also does your eye exam for the procedure.

rather not try it, ask any eye surgeon why they are still wearing glasses after operating on thousands of patients.
