It depends on what you call a "real kiss" and as for sex, no...they're usually partially clothed when it happens and penetration, let alone sexual contact does not occurr. It's acting. For most sex scenes, the male actor is wearing a flesh colored covering over his male bits, while the actress is wearing something similar to a thong. These count as clothing, and also allow for the appearance of nudity without putting the actors/actresses in the position of being nude.
Most sex scenes are shown in bed, under covering, this is to hide the fact that both the actor and actress, or in some cases, actor and actor, or actress and actress are wearing shorts.

The kissing is real, and most of the "sex" is just played out, quite hot and there have been some "embarrassing moments (lap dance style, etc, opps, spilled the juice types...), and a dirty little secret is that while it is "safe" sex, there have been some real sex filmed between stars, it is just not widely known who how real. Most people don't know that, and I was shocked, surprised, and a bit envious.
"Eyes Wide Shut" is a good example from what I have been told

that's why they are called actors and actress, they just act...the emotions they portray maybe fake but the body contact, yes it's true. If the scene is sa bed scene, some of the private parts of the actors are covered with bandage.

they kiss but not actually engage in sexual acts..its all an act ya know..I often wonder how the men keep from getting rock hard when they are straddled by the actress though..Bet these scenes account for half of the "couples" in Hollywood today! =)

Yes, the kiss each other for real. But, when they do "IT"..There's some kind of padding thats put between them. To make it look real.
