All the original Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts were created for theatrical release to be seen by adults and children alike.
The idea of dressing up in women's clothing dates all the way back to Shakespearean times because although there were female characters within plays, women were not allowed to perform on stage under the male belief at the time that all a woman should do is housekeeping and child rearing.
The dressing bit carried over to the Vaudville stage, but was used to a lot more humourous effect, which carried over to the cartoons.
Milton Berle, the Monty Python troupe, and Benny Hill all did it on a regular basis on their respective television shows for laughs.
Just sit back and enjoy the comedy.

i think its a bit weird to ask that...i mean it is a cartoon hero, made especialy for kids.do u think the producer wanted to make kids watch at a homosexual cartoon hero?coz i dont think so...and whatever he had in his mouth, no matter the fact he kissed male characters...these were only made for amusament...kids laught when watching it...its something normal;)
