Yes, it can work out.
3 years is a very small age difference. I personally know several happily married couples where the woman is 5-10 years (or more) older than her husband. If the relationship has a good foundation, then age will not be a factor.
And, ask yourself this: if the ages were reversed - if the man were 3 years older - would you be at all worried?

you're funny. I am 8 years senior to my husband. Effects? All depends on how both of you are as people and that is regardless of how old you are. If either of you are irresponsible, still a party-animal and miss the bachelor life style, then yes, their can be effects... may not be ready to get married. If both of you are responsible, had enough of party-city and love the idea of having a family, then 3 years or 10 years won't make a difference.
Here is a key piece of advise I give anyone who is engaged. If you have any doubts or a bad gut feeling, then don't do it.
Good Luck.

Yes it can work out. It is not that much of a differance anyway. Iv'e seen some people where the man or woman is like 30 or more years older then the other, and that is no better then child molesters, because the other is old enough to be their parents. But 3 years is alright.

No. I dont think so... It is not right to judge the outcome of a relationship on the basis of the age factor of a couple. The point to be considered is the understanding between the both of them. The children will learn from the parents, whatever they are taught. If they see that mother elder than father is creating problems, they will assume that elder relationships would be a problem. If they see that age factor does not matter in the relationship between mom and dad they will learn that age does not matter in a relationship....
Also 3 years is not a huge difference to any relationship..... so just go ahead and tie your knot if you are planning to do so.. Remember, respect your partner to earn respect for yourself and everything would be just fine.
BEST OF LUCK!!!!!

I am 3 1/2 years older than my husband. We have been married for 5 years. Its possible that your marriage will end in divorce(just like any marriage) But age is nothing but a number. There have been no bad effects on our kids(we have 7) If you want to marry someone...it should be based on love...not their age!!

My Mom was 7 years older than my dad and we has a great family. My mom past away in 1980 because of canser but theres nothing in age that will cause problems in a marage. As long as there is LOve, Loyalty and Frendship between the two people getting married.

Unless you're 16 and 19 there's no big deal about 3 years. I have a friend who is with a woman 10 years older than him, and they are working out just fine.

are you asking if a guy married a woman 3 years older then him if it can work out? If this is what your asking, then yes it can. Age has nothing to do with a relationship.. its more combatability and personalities. I am 8 years older then my husband and we've been together 9 years.

Who cares how old. 3 years is nothing. If it was 20 years, then I would question the situation. Go ahead and get married and live a happy life.
