Remy LeBeau - Gambit. He could transfer kinetic energy to objects to make them explode... and his choice of object were playing cards. He's my favorite character, plus he's supposed to be Rogue's boyfriend (NOT iceman) - what a disappointment that he wasn't in the movie.

In the cartoon and comic series, it was stated (even by Gambit himself) that he was raised in New Orleans. It looks to me like he was actually raised in one of the swamp towns of Louisiana, probably near New Orleans (I'm from New Orleans, so I always thought this statement was weird).

In the X-Men II movie, during the part where Mystique (looking like Kelly Hu) is going through the computer database with names of mutants - they do show the name "Remy LeBeau". It was only for a second, and I was so thrilled, I started jumping up and down in the theatre. Perhaps he'll turn up in a future movie?

His name is Gambit, real name Remy LeBeau.Born in New Orleans, hence the nickname Cajun. His mutant power is the ability to charge any small object with kinetic energy that will make that oject explode on contact when Gambit throws it. His weapons of choice are a metal staff and his trademark deck of playing cards, which he charges and throws at enemies. I hope that was helpful.

Gambit - has the ability to charge any object with kinetic energy that will explode upon contact. the bigger the object, the bigger the boom. Usually carries a deck of cards, because they're quick to charge and easy to throw. Also travels with a modified Bo staff that has electronic enhancements. In the comic universe he has alternated as a X-men and upon digging into his past, a traitor to his own kind. They may not be sure how to portray him in the movies yet. He recruited Sabretooth and others to Murder the Moorlocks for Mr. Sinister

the cajun was a character called gambit. his real name is remy lebeau and he's from new orleans, where he was adopted by the thieves' guild's leader, and he became one of the best thieves around. his mutant power was to charge any object with kinetic energy, and his favourite weapon was playing cards and a bo-staff. he wasn't featured in the film because they couldn't find the right actor to portray him.

as for jubilee, her power was to create plasma bursts which looked like fireworks.
