It depends... I'm not familiar with how Argentina plays as a team but, I know that:
Brazil has "Samba" football: fantasy and attacking flair. They are the performance artists of the soccer world and play with an artful rhythm and phenomenal skill. Brazilians love to improvise- they're the best dribblers of the ball on Earth- and their tactics are often just as fluid and inventive.
Germany has tactical order, efficiency, and stamina. With forceful, well-organized atacks, Germany tends to play in a very direct way, controlling the game in midfield, staying patient, and picking apart defenses with either onetouch passing or aerial assaults on the goal. Germany's fast and highly skilled players can intimidate opponents; their tenacity is legendary, producing many last-minute comebacks.
England has speed, aerial passes, and heading. A product of rain-soaked playing fields and a high threshold of pain, their no-nonesense style uses long, airborne passes out of the defense to a "target" man up front, who often passes it with his head to an onrushing teammate. They are very fast paced and physical... and changing with the influx of foreign-born players.
Italy has defense lockdown and swift counterattacks. Because they are always mercilessly scrutinized by thier fans and the media, they tend to play it safe under pressure, falling back into a defense strategy known as "catenaccio", or lock. When an opponent makes a mistake, Italians pounce into a sort of cat and mouse strategy and often stealing goals.
I'm not a big fan of any of them, but I must admit they each have their strenghts, and weaknesses...

Italy has the best defence, and occasionally can score, which is why they and not the Swiss are in the final. The swiss actually did not allow a single goal either, but they couldn't score....
I think Argentina had the best midfield. They beat everyone at playing keep-away and created shooting opportunities for their forwards. The three best goals of the match came from Argentine midfielders and forwards. Such dominance would completely frustrate the opponent's gameplan. For proof, read Klinsman's comments after Germany's game with Argentina.
I think Argentina also had the best forwards in Crespo, Saviola, Aimar, Tevez and little Messi. We didn't get to see much of him, but we saw some great play by Saviola, Tevez and Crespo. What they did was sheer artistry.
But hats off to the German strikers Podolski and Klose. One has won the best young player award, while the other will probably win the golden boot award for most goals in the tournament.
If you could create a "dream team" it would have the Italian defence, Argentine midfield and strikers, with Klose and Podolski.

The Italian National Team is far more talented than the English National Team. You can't even compare the two. England have nothing on Italy. The Italian team has many titles/trophies/medals and is constantly producing young talent. Not to mention their four World Cup titles compared to England's one. Also some of the best players have come from Italy, including: Giuseppe Meazza, Luigi Riva, Paolo Rossi, Marco Tardelli, Giovanni Ferrari, Gianni Rivera, Dino Zoff, Giuseppe Bergomi, Paolo Maldini, Roberto Baggio, Alessandro Del Piero, Andrea Pirlo, Fabio Cannavaro, Francesco Totti and up-and-coming talents such as Sebastian Giovinco and Riccardo Montolivo. Italy is among one of the best football teams in the world.

Argentina of course, the italians won only because the play a defensive ugly football, if it wasn't because of that horrible decisions by pekerman when he send Riquelme off and didn't send messi into the game againts the germans, Argentina would have win the world cup, let's face it no team was better than them, the one team that truly played the beautifull game

Cannavaro&Buffon created a wall,I think this World Cup is the World Cup of defenders. The team is united and they think the same, that's why they are so close to the final! It's the best team,I was very dissapointed with Brasil,I don't know what happened to them, they looked like beginners when they played with France.
Germany is a great team as well,I think they will get the third place this year, against Portugal.

italy defends extremely well....germany couldnt get past that! brasil used to be good at handling the ball but theyve definitely disappointed this world cup.
argentina is the best EVER.
germany is lame. they have too many people trying to play individually rather than trying to make the team better as a whole.
