i always have my task bar horizontal and my son woke me up to say it gone vertical.i want it bk to horizontal ive tried right clicking it but the part for horizntal and vertical not lit up i been to control panal clicked on task bar but i cant see any thing there to help with this.then when i come of control panal and right click the task bar the horizontal and vertical are highlighted,ive clicked horizontal nothing happens.even did it again then reboot still task bar is vertical.i would appreciate any help getting my task bar back the way i want it,and what has caused it to do this.

would have never happened if you would have LOCKED IT... all you gotta do is left click on the taskbar and drag it back down it should go back horizontal and at the bottom... and now to LOCK IT... right click on the taskbar and choose "Lock The Taskbar"

Hey, try left-clicking the taskbar and dragging. Make sure not to click on an icon or tab but on the plane part of the bar. Just drag right down to the usual position and then release.

Place the mouse pointer on a blank part of the task bar. Hold down the left mouse button, and then drag the task bar back to the bottom of the screen. When you let go of the mouse, the task bar will stay where you put it.

This usually happens accidentally when someone is moving the mouse and unintentionally holds down the mouse button at the same time.

just drag the task bar on which ever side u want... simple...
and then right click on the taskbar and select Lock the taskbar so that no one can change itz position...

there was no need of thanx...
I'm doing the thing for which I'm here...

Click and hold your mouse cursor on the taskbar and drag it to the bottom of the screen
