Aloe Vera is an easy plant to grow. It is non poisonous, multiplies quickly when re-potted to large pots, and can be used medicinally. It does well in eastern or southern window light and can be placed outside for the summer (non tropical climates). Does well with neglect, just make sure there is some moisture in the soil, but does not like overwatering. Aloe does well with self water pots. If you lived close I would give you some of mine, I have plenty !!

My favorite indoor plant is the Weeping Fig. It has beautiful shiny green leaves and it's very easy to care for. You can find them at just about any garden center. Heck, even Walmart sells them.
