I find nealy every pub I go into at weekends has bloody karaoke on ..to me its only entertainment for the people who are singing .most of them are rubbish .and should never be allowed near a mike .what do you think?

karaoke is fun it is a way to break out of your comfort zone. you complain about the bad singers. but that is the only thing people talk about on american idol. if ther arn't bad singers you won't appreciate the good ones. it is like making fun of really bad dancers. but as long as you are having fun and enjoying yourself. I find that there are more kareoke nights during the week then on weekends that is when most places have bands.if you don't like t then go somewhere else!

I love it but my boyfriend absolutely detests it! I would sing all night but he doesn't want to go to karaoke nites. I have to agree they are OK for part of the night not the whole night, although there are some really great singers but mostly bad ones. Fair play to everyone who has a go as it's very nerve racking.

I have perfect pitch, but hate my own voice. You'll never see me singing into a mike. However, you WILL see me forced out of the bar by a tone-deaf cow who thinks she can sing. About two notes into the song, I'm asking the person next to me to check and see if my ears are bleeding.

It's the ones that are rubbish that make it a laugh,of course you have to be very drunk as then everything seems funny!

Its only a bit of fun, and its quite funny when the fat bird gets up to sing something sexy!!! its a right laugh!!!

I'm pretty bad at karaoke so I prefer not to get involved, but at this one pub we went to their music was so loud (and bad!) that we couldn't hold a decent conversation.
I guess I'm for, but quietly please!

i love the karaoke!its a machine that helps me develop my singing skills publicly...but then i really hate it when someone always hogs it up but they have a bad singing voice....

yeah, crap singers ruin your evening...
but getting p*ssed and getting up and being a crap singer is great!! Depends on what kinda night your out for.
You can always change pubs...

I dont know what pubs you go in too, but the pubs/clubs I go in too don't have it.
