The vacuum of the atmosphere in space would kill you almost instantly. That actually happened to an American Astronaut I believe, who's space suit snagged something, and all the air went out of his suit. Went something like that.

When you go to space, its a zero pressure area. Fluids in the human body contribute to an internal body pressure. Now because of the imbalance in the pressure inside an outside of your body , each and every cell in you body would burst and you would die.

Basically the vacuum of space would cause all of your blood to pool in one area. Moreover the temperature would be far below living conditions and you would freeze to death within a few milliseconds.

Provided you live through the troposphere, you might make a nanosecond before you no longer exist. Strong vaccuum, extreme cold and no oxygen=instant death.

You would die from lack of oxygen. There are also temperature and pressure concerns. Oxygen is only available on planets or similar objects with atmospheres unless you carry it with you.
