I can type 75-80 words per minute. I keep finding questions posted her with the tag below them that reads, "Be the first to answer this question." I click on the answer button and type out my response. By the time I submit it there are already 5+. Is this normal? By the same token I respond alluding to the last response thinking it will be directly below it and therefore the allusion will be understood, but again when I submit it there are aleady several responses between mine and the one which instigated my response. Amazing really!

It is.. when many people are on the website and they automatically start typing out a response even before reading the question you can have multiple responses before you even submit yours!

If you are really desperate to be the first then refresh the questions page and only attempt to answer the most recent question or 2. Then send a 1 word or 1 letter answer and edit it afterwards to give the answer you want.

Another factor worth consdering is where you are - because of the nature of the net and yahoo, americans can answer questions faster than everyone else - and the type of connection you have - many americans have T3 connections (45Mbps)

I'm just responding to respond. Nothing valid or thought provoking to say. Thanks for reading this post of nothing.
