the last country to abolish slavery was saudi arabia in 1962. however slavery still continues to this day, sudan has a huge problem with slavery also china uses its migrant work force almost as slaves. the big faceless corporations that move from one developing country to the next paying workers the equivalent of £1 pound a week etc, well thats almost slavery too, and in the broader sense of the word slavery then we are all slaves and slavery will never end coz we all slaves to money.

There are still many slaves in the world. Some by the tradistional route of slavery by enforcement but most out of a need to eat so people are willing to work long hours for low pay.

It is called capitalism.

If you research you will find that even in this day and age, in some countries slavery while not well advertised - still exists. Primarily in under developed countries.

I think its North Carolina ( i think). But through out the World slavery is still around.
