A record low temperature of -89.2°C (-128.6°F) was registered at Vostok, Antarctica, on July 21, 1983. That's over 100°C below normal room temperature!
The coldest inhabited village is Oymyakon, in Yakutia, eastern Siberia, Russia. Temperatures there can drop to as low as -70°C (-94°F). The average in January, the coldest month, is -50°C (-58°F). The town is in a valley surrounded by two high mountains that trap cold winter air and prevent warmer air getting in. Snow covers the ground from early autumn to mid spring.

i would say that antarctica is the coldest. i dont consider europe as the coldest. if i were to think of another continent besides antarctica being the coldest, i believe either north america or asia would be the coldest. greenland and siberian russia are the coldest places in the northern hemisphere.
