‘Instantaneous’, means ‘at that instant of time’.
‘Displacement’ is measure of length.
Both are fundamental quantities; that is they are independent quantities.
Displacement does not depend on time. We cannot express “displacement” in terms of time.
Therefore, it is meaning less to say instantaneous displacement.
We can speak of instantaneous speed, acceleration etc, as they are defined as that quantity when time tends to zero.

Instantaneous displacement is a mathematical construct used to indicate a change in position without having to define a time interval. By itself it has no practical purpose, but when combined with instaneous time, it can yield the velocity of an object at an exact point in time, even though velocity is defined as the change in position with respect to time.
The formal definition of instanteous displacement is dx = delta x, where the limit of delta x tends to zero. In order to have displacement, dx cannot be zero, but be as close to it as can get. When combined with dt, instanteous time similarly defined, the dx/dt yields a velocity for a given point. This is useful in terms of calculating various physical properties such as momentum (mass time velocity).

When I buy a watermelon which is sour the supplier replaces it instantaneously and it is thus displaced within a second. He is a coward greengrocer thinking that I would kill him instantaneosly if he doesnt replaces them. It is true that I have a frightening appearance....But Iwouldnt replace the grocers' realm of existence just bec. of a sour watermelon. I am a humanist atheist....I like Chopin. What is Bush?

Now could it be that things disappeared for a split second, and then reappeared, or vice versa?
