I haven't the foggiest idea...I do have a favorite pen ALL TIME favorite and I know you all think I'm completely off my rocker and I don't blame you...and yes I'm going to tell you what kind of pen it is. I believe in sharing the wealth.
Pilot V-Ball (Pilot G6 comes close but ya know no pen is alike) I love that pen and I guard it with my life...if I had more I wouldn't be so protective but I can't seem to them in stores anywhere.
I suppose I would be considered to have what you call a pen fetish then...I know its sad...but true, and you know what I think I'm okay with that lol. I think I need some sleep.

If you mean ballpoint pens, then the answer is "they are very easy to walk away with." Perhaps you need to chain your down like the banks do. We, at work, have one that hangs from a holder magnetically. People are so fascinated with it that they always put it back. So you have to get one that is VERY unusual--maybe has feathers on the top or is a strange shape. People will take note of it and leave it.

I thought everyone already knew that there was a planet entirely given over to ballpoint life forms. And it was to this planet that unattended ballpoint pens would make their way, slipping away quietly through wormholes in space to a world where they knew they could enjoy a uniquely ballpointoid life-style, responding to highly ballpoint-oriented stimuli, and generally leading the ballpoint pen equivalent of the good life.
At least that was what some guy named Adams told me.

Not sure where ALL of them went, but all of the ones that say "Holiday Inn" down the side seem to be in my office!
