Yes.. I have been afraid of love and to love.. it was trust that blurred my vision..
I have had past events to draw from that made leery of trusting someone, and therefore, made me afraid to open my heart to others.
It is a sucky feeling to have goodness in you and not be able to share it out of fear they will be nasty or unresponsive to it isn't it?
I think if you can forgive the people that have made you hurt in your life, and move forward to accept genuion relationships, you will lose your fear the more you have solid relationships that don't let you down, and find the balance of what is real and what isn't.. and you will be able to trust, live, and love again freely.

Its natural to feel afraid when you fill in love with some one but don't let this feeling control your love just cool down don't think of it too much it will come alone cool down and trust me you will love it to love and be in love with some its only at the first time and you will never ever feel it again when you love some one.

Love can be many things... When I was a child I was afraid of loving any pets because I knew living on a farm cats would populate and eventually be run over and lost. As I was growing up through adolescents I was afraid of loving my family because things were changing so rapidly I wasn't sure who to trust. I have been through many traumatic events between adolescents and adulthood, I have lost alot of trust and faith in people over the yrs and still stay very guarded against love in any form. I have learned to let love grow through my guard over long periods of time. It took me yrs to feel comfortable with loving someone even if it was genuinely returned. My advice? Allow yourself to love but with reality and caution in mind!

Oh yes. I wasn’t sure how she felt about me at the time. I was afraid that my feelings would betray me; that I was being powered by a need to be loved rather than being in love. ‘Course, I’ve always been the type that doesn’t flirt, I just fall in love…or at least what I perceived to be love.

Sure, almost everyone who's had a BF/ GF has felt that. It's only natural. Just don't become overly attached if you do love or fall in love.

yes.. i'm afraid of loving.. i've been single for 4 years..
it begin from my family, my childhood isn't very happy.. my mom are a high temperament.. she can get angry without no cause.. so it hurts as a a child.. child tends to blame him/herself.. why can't my mom loves me..
and also about the love and possesive.. when one in love... one give his/her "part" into their partner.. so when it comes to separation/break-up.. one fear for the pain and hurt for losing the part of them....
