Try a straight edged razor blade. You can buy them at most home improvement stores, in a pack or with a holder. It works beautifully for things like scraping paint off of glass window panes. The trick is to hold the blade as close to horizontal as you can get it, to keep from scratching the surface you're cleaning. You can also buy double edged razor blades at drug stores in the shaving section which will flex to follow the contours of a curved object. Be careful with the dual edged-type, though, it's very easy to cut yourself.
