Is masturbation a good alternative to abortion?

The answer to that question is a resounding, NO! Both masturbation and abortion are nothing more than legalized forms of infanticide. Sperm cells are not "potential human beings" they are human beings with potential.

Masturbation has been condemned by all the world's major religions, as abortion has. The Bible tells us that Yahweh killed Onan after he spilled his seed on the ground, rather than using it to impregnate the woman. I believe that a constitutional amendment may be necessary to outlaw masturbation.

As far as abortion goes, once another human being establishes residence inside your body, you do not have the right to forcibly remove that person, doing so is murder. That human being needs your body for a period of nine months. The government has a responsibility to require women to allow other human beings live inside their body.

theres nothing wrong with mastubation once so ever espcially in young teens who chose it over sexual acts that could lead to teen pregnancy which we all know is one if not the highest reason for abortions. on the other hand. I do feel you shouldnt have sex if your not ready to assume the responsiblities of a parent. In some cases though i do feel an abortion should be an option. Theres many tests that can be preformed on a growing fetus to tell you the health status of a child. I feel it would be more cruel to bring a child into this world you know will only suffer and live a short life. I guess this makes me pro choice.. in a way i am prolife as well. I think there should be regualtions on abortions and even an appication process. If you do not meet the requirments and do not want the child then you need to put the child for adoption. There is a very large amount of people in the world who want to adopt espcially infertal couples who dream of a family. However i do feel that if this regulation law was put into place it could possibly up the rate in alley way abortions, "dumpster babies" and infant murder. I believe this is the biggest reason the government has not made any action, nor will they ever acctually illegallizing abortions.

I swear I almost rolled around laughing! Thanks, I needed that!!!! In my opinion you have WAY to much free time on your hands. I am PRO masturbation!! I would rather have everyone in the world masturbating than having babies that they don't want/can't afford and end up beating them and/or killing them or going on welfare. I think it is safer and more sound than your crazy babble.
If there was no contraceptives (which I bet you are against as well) you have any idea how many people would be born every day? The world would be more overpopulated than it is already. There would be alot more abuse and way more people on welfare! Women would go somewhere else to have abortions or do them themselves!
It is a woman's RIGHT to choose if and when she wants children. I am not saying abortion is right. I believe it should be reserved for rape victims and for those pregnancies which will be fatal, but it is not that way.

Thats just ridiculous! Masturbation and making love (for a man) are one and the same thing. I mean...there usually is sperm as an end result.
A man can make love to his pregnant wife and produce sperm. Besides, sperm is only half of the 'ingredient' required to make a baby. Do you condemn a woman who chooses to never have a child...(because she is born with all her eggs already)

And as far as religion goes...well, if more priests were encouraged to masturbate...then maybe there would not be so many children subjected to sexual abuse.!

Sperm is not a potential human being nor a human being with potential. Sperm is only one half of a human being and there are millions of them in each ejaculation.

By your estimate, every woman has an abortion every month she is not pregnant. Therefore, we should all be pregnant from the time we begin to ovulate until we reach menopause. Otherwise, we are letting a potential human being/ human being with potential die every month, maybe two or three if our ovaries release multiple eggs. This means you advocate sex for 11 year old girls. Also, when we die, even if we've had twins every year of our lives, we still die with 3.5 million unfertilized eggs in our ovaries.

In addition, every time a man and woman have sex, trying to make a baby, millions of sperm will not hit the mark and will die. Therefore, sex actually kills millions of potential human beings according to your definition.

Now we are in a catch 22. If women don't have sex and fertilize their eggs, they are killing an ovum every month. If men do have sex, they are killing millions of sperm every time. But then again, if they don't have sex every few days, then all that sperm their body has created will die. What to do?

I am not a brood mare, and my family is not a baby factory. If a man doesn't have an ejaculation on purpose, his body will do it for him during sleep. You are so right, but this is all our responsibilities, encourage people around you to believe in the way of _od, but also strive for greater purity yourself.

The Bible does tell us of Onan and his terrible crime, but it also tells us of crimes we commit through thought and deed. It tells us we must at all times be pure of thought and not let our weak and feeble bodies and minds betray us.

In this modern world unclean thought abound and the government encourages the unbeliever. In thought if you have a wet-dream, so spilling your seed on the sheets, is this not a sin also, is it not as bad as the sin of Onan? I think you have the makings of a true believer, but unless you can attain this level of self control, avoid the lascivious temptations that are all around you, then you too are unclean. Bind your penis tightly lest it betray you with an erection, do not handle it except to dispel waste from your body, sleep with it bound so the seed cannot be released, check your sheets every morning and atone for your sinful dreams at the start of each day. Please write to the government, to your elected representative, it is only through belief and the conversion of others that this world can be saved. It is not just the act but the fuel for the act, the temptation that must be banned. In the same way as the amendment to ban drinking had to ban the root of the evil, alcohol, then your amendment must ban the temptations we are daily bombarded with, pornography, advertising, inappropriate music and dress. Is it no wonder people are tempted into the sin of Onan when TV shows people partially clothed or fornicating?

This is not easy, it requires a belief and purity not attainable by some, but you clearly are a believer not frightened to speak the truth. Bind yourself, train yourself through pain not to waste the seed, even when you are asleep and the devil comes.
