first I buy large plastic tubs and put paper to sort and throw out in one. In another put everything you need to sort and place back in its proper place. Take a large Black Garbage bag and place all trash. In another large Black Garbage Bag put things you want to donate to the thrift store and once it is put in the bag do not take it out. Take a plastic pail that has all the cleaning supplies like bleach, paper towels, scrubber, Windex, Scrubbing bubbles and toilet cleaner into the bathroom. Then start cleaning the bathroom. For the bathtub spray with Mildew remover and let set overnight. Next day wash down with clean water and then scrub with a brush and Comet cleanser. Do not mix chemicals. If you use bleach in the toilet first, then brush and flush several times before you also use toilet cleaner. Later go back to the plastic tubs and sort the papers into important or throw away. Tear your name off the papers you are going to throw away. Go through your closets and get things to donate to goodwill....if you haven't worn it in nine months then donate it. Then get out the sweeper and place the couch cushions on the floor and sweep them and the couch. Then place the cushions back on and sweep the floor. Then go into the kitchen with **** and span and Bounty paper towels and get down and wash the floor...don't forget under the stove. Oh and make sure you wrap your broom with a towel and clean out cobwebs on the ceiling. Do all of this at least once every three months and you won't be reported to the Health Department!

I always have a plan and a routine and stick to it. Windows and polishing once a week. Laundry every other day if needed. Each day of the week a room or a room with it's bathroom gets throughly cleaned. Upstairs hoovering of all rooms one day and the next the downstairs area gets done. I do the stairs when I do the downstairs area as it easier to do them going up than down. I try to plan it all where I can have some me time in the afternoons and less work on weekends. Depends. Routines make your life easier. If you don't get the housework done on time, it's harder next time around so I always keep to the routine.

Colletc all garbage and throw it out. Strip all the beds an put on new sheets. Wash clothes. Clean the bathrooms and dust and I DO NOT use one of those toilet brushes I wash with a sponge (Soft scrub and Pine Sol with Lemon). Wash the dishes mop all the floors. Lysol all the door handles and light switches. Vaccum and light some candles and voila! If you keep it clean it stays clean, I have 2 young kids and you can eat off my floor.

Hire a housekeeper. I find this to be the easiest with a busy schedule. If a housekeeper is not an option, then do something everyday of the week so it doesn't mount up and then you spend all day one day a week cleaning your house.

Do a little everyday or every other day so it doesn't get out of hand. Once it's completely out of hand, it's too hard too get motivated to start the process. Personally, I'm meticulous and neat , and can't do anything in clutter or filth.
