if they look down and to the left they are lying...if they look up and to the right, they are trying to remember something, so they're probably telling the truth...i think if they blink a lot thats a sign that they're lying too

There are TOO MANY ways to tell when someone is lying to list here. Most people are right about eye contact but its not limited to that. True pathological liars can look you straight in the eye and convince you they are telling the truth.
You want to know the best way? Research. Know the topic oif which you are talking to them about the bets you possibly can and then when you talk to the person, test them. Maybe tell them a lie and get them to agree with it. Maybe lead them into admitting something when you have vidence that its something else. Knowledge is power.
Some people stutter. Some people do things with ther hands. I knew a guy who evertime he lied he scratched his nose. there are a million things people can do. But if you are dealing with someone pathological, its not going to be easy. They hide it better than anyone.

Well i don't want to sound like a pro or anything but lately i have found myself in a position where i have to lie sometimes. So from my experience it's very hard looking someone in the eye when lying.I also pretend to be too busy & most of the time try to sway from the topic. It's a bad thing but sometimes life puts you in a position where you have to.

Mostly they can't look you in the eye, and are very nervous and even sweating but people these days can lie real well and look very casual. OH, and sometimes stuttering is a sign of lying. I mean someone that doesn't usually stutter. I have mastered all of these techniques and can lie very well. (Just joking) or am i? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no eye contact could indicate lack of sincerity but could also mean that the person is shy. touching nose, year etc, when spking might indicate the same thing. b open and try to make then person feel relaxed and then go on to the delicate subject.

Lack of eye contact. Also, if a person covers his mouth when he is speaking he is telling a lie.
