No way, the sound is what makes the experience. If the sound was lowered down, you might as well just wait for the video to come out, and how else are you supposed to hear the movie over everybody chewing on their snacks and all that jazz???

Yes! I want to be able to hear when I'm 50, and 140 decibels at the movies isn't helping. You get the same experience without having to plug your ears - it's a movie, not a rock concert.

Most definitely. It seems like it's 10 decibals and I've walked out several times due to the loudness. It's especially too loud for children.

well it's personal preference. If it's too soft people complain of hearing. If it's too loud people complain of being deaf. But nonetheless, it's all part of the experience.
