With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high tension wires down.
Helpless people on subway trains
Scream for God as he looks in on them.
He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town.
Oh no, they say he's got to go—
Go, go, Godzilla . . .
Oh no, there goes Tokyo—
Go, go, Godzilla . . .
Rinji news o moshiagemasu!
Godzilla ga Ginza hoomen e mukatte imasu!
Daishkyu hinan shite kudasai!
Oh no, they say he's got to go—
Go, go, Godzilla . . .
Oh no, there goes Tokyo—
Go, go, Godzilla . . .
History shows again and again
How nature points out the folly of men . . .
Godzilla!

I don't know. I once saw an online video of a "bad day" at a nuclear power plant. There was an earthquak, tidal wave, hurricaine, tornado, terroist attack, meteor, and it was all wrapped up by an attack by godzilla.
My dad happens to work at that particular plant, and I asked him if the plant was ready for Godzilla, and he said he didn't think so. so I would say yes, godzilla is still relevant, and in fact still a threat

Depends on what you mean by relevant. In it's day, Godzilla was a way to express the fear about the unknown dangers of nuclear energy. Today, it's just good entertainment. (well, except for that movie a few years ago with Matthew Broderick. I'm still angry they screwed that one up.)
