LIC has facilitated to make premium on its policies at any of its branch irrespective of the location (branch) of your original / current policy.

But the catch is that the connectivity of the server should be available / on when you go to make payment of your premium to any non-branch. And quite possibility is that these lines may be down and the cashier refuses to accept the payment!

Officially this facility is in vogue for quite some time now.

Alternatively, you can make payments over Internet and this facility is available with quite a number of commercial banks, with whom LIC has tied up. Check-up whether you bank is in or not and you are comfortable to make such payments over the net. A simple registration procedure is to be followed (its free) and you can make payments via Internet also.
