Because they do not have anything good to offer the world and so seek to degrade it so that it is closer to their low plane of being so they do not feel like such total worthless pieces of crap wich they already are...

I think it is simply ignorance. The class of society , that we are brought up in also has so much to do with this subject, I believe the more we are taught at a youthful age about acceptance: the more likely we are not to discriminate. Hmm... perhaps this sounds odd. Just an idea.

This is the kind of peace loving hippie kind of question that makes me cringe. Typically war has never been caused because of discrimination rather conflicting ideals. Secondly i think that without discrimination that we as a species wouldn't have a sense of humor because when it boils down to it that is the basic form of humor. peace, love or whatever...

i know what you mean, but personal preferences, and upbringing plays a major part, and sadly, that's where the difference in us lies...
But if only the word RESPECT can be given more attention, i think many of these nasty things in society, can be reduced if not eliminated..
