I read on Wikipedia that the English, Irish, Dutch and French Huguenots were all represented and of course there were African slaves. How about the Germans or Scandanavians? Did they have a presence in colonial America and if so where? I know there were some Jews, but were they numerous? Any other ethnic groups that I should know about?

And btw, I'm not doing a report or anything -- I'm just interested in history.

I don't think Germans and Scandinavians came until around the 1800s from what I remember. Germans were in abundance in the south which is why we still have a lot of German towns and German names for cities here in Texas.
