I don't think it is your personal hygiene or a bacterial/virus infection. It just happens especially with that gel. I use it too. I have to wash out as soon as I can (six hours later). The gel is supposed to be left for six hours. So that it can be effective at killing all the sperm. Also, my gynecologist said that sperm has a nasty smell after it sits a while and the gel doesn't help. If you don't have the gel in you, your body naturally absorbs the sperm and your vagina produces its own moisture to clean it away. So with the gel and sperm it is almost always going to smell that way. It just sits there and reeks (sorry for the nasty details). I hope this helps.

hmmm spending too much time in a fish market could be one reason? But seriously, its the same things that would make any man smell fishy. Such as never take showers, never use deodorants, never change to new sets of clothes, all boils down to personal hygiene!

a fishy smell can be caused by too much moisture or any number of imbalances or infections down there, but if you say you only have the smell after using this gell then stop using the gel.

A trichimonis infection. Very distinct "fishy" odor associated with vaginal discharge (green/dark yellow). It can be treated with Flagyl very effectively. Remember though, this is an STD!! It is contagious! Both partners need to be treated or else you'll just pass it back and forth.
