I had been friends with Allison since the fifth grade. We instantly connected; I still swear its like we should have been sisters. By the seventh grade we were THE BEST of friends. Her house was my second home, we decided which colors to paint our bedrooms together, we even had matching e-mail addresses. Everywhere she went, I tagged along and the same went for me. But then we got to 8th grade and things started getting a little rocky. She went out with the guy I had the HUGEST crush on. She even asked me to ask him out for her. Talk about betrayal. And then we started being two separate people. She wanted to date every guy in school, or so it seemed back then. And I was trying to get the highest grades of my class. Sure, we still talked and it wasn't until we got to high school that our friendship suffered the most. We had new friends, different interests, different classes. Even though we had two classes together frosh year, it didn't help any. We had become too different. I fought to keep our friendship going, asked her to hang out more, etc. But it didn't work. And one day I realized that it was time to let go. I didn't NEED to be her friend anymore. I didn't need her help. Hopefully something like that doesn't happen between the two of you because I truly believe that best friends are forever. In fact, even though we almost never talk, we still say hi to each other in the hall. Because we remember where we came from and how great it was being best friends.

'friends forever' are simply words . When you actually put words into action, it's then only which gives them meaning..
You can easily say he/ she's ur bestfriend..but it also depends on how you both view the friendship as, how you both EXPECT from that relationship. The term 'forever' is vague. You can treat a friend close to your heart but how will he/she thinks ?Will it be the same? You can never read their minds. The only thing i can say is that, if you want the friendship to last, it needs a strong foundation, it needs mutual trust and understanding, and faith in each other..:)

I was totally in your situation. My friendship had changed and found out she was just using me. It really hurts. However, you will meet many people during a lifetime and friendships will change. I have found this out the hard way. Writing in a journal really helps.

yea..quite common, sometimes an extra person could jz spoil friendship, i was quite close with this guy, and all of a sudden he's not free to go out with me, and seldom hang out with me and my friends after school, the reason? he got a gf, and there he goes forgetting the rest of us, he would rather go out with his gf and not us, and sometimes there are people who kept calling us their "best friend" just for the fun of it, they only come to us when they're in need, when they have their own "best friends" to go out with, they just forgets us
best friends are like diamonds, precious but rare, friends are like autumn leaves, found everywhere XD

Relationships change and it's okay. It doesn't necessarily mean it has gotten worse. It just has changed. Accept it for what it is.

Stop calling. Stop talking. Just walk away and don't say a word.
