Fear and intolerance of anyone who thinks, looks, acts differently from them and their beliefs. This breeds hatred which in turn breeds ignorance. It is a vicious cycle. Everyone has a moralistic solution to problems but who is to say whose morals are right.
You are right. We should learn to understand each other and live our life as we see fit as long as we don't each other over our beliefs.

They need to feel morally better than others. I think it is part of a syndrome which I call moral schizophrenia.
I think something was really lacking in their childhood years, or they are usually easy to influence by others. They use a book that was written well after the death of Christ, not in English, which means a lot is not an exact meaning. English only wasn't a language back then! They then take things out of context, without doing any research, and start spouting off stuff that you can never disprove.
When I investigated child abuse one of their favorite Sayings was Spare the Rod and spoil the Child. The rod that was being referred to was a Shepard's. He never used it to beat sheep, he used it to guide them!
I agree with you, but some people want to do more than share their religion, they want you to do, or not do things because they told you too. Abortion is murder!! BS!!
The Catholic Church never had a problem with abortion, until they changed their views, but they didn't change their view on moral grounds.
I would say that most of them have enough to answer for and they should stick to trying to live a good life!! Not my life!!

The correct order for the intersecting emotions and thought processes is ignorance= fear= hate=all the things that we try control thru combinations law both religious or temporal. Also in our ever growing world it is found that people chose to believe that which makes them safer over free and in these ever larger groups people of the same tendencies move not to the center but to the outer edges. combine that with a state ,Media ,and political /religious groups that find that it gains followers when chaos is the only force that may bring them to domination . this is the world all ways has been always will be read history . as for religion as a large organization it contain both the power for good or evil .i my self have seen more evil perpetuated in religion name than good in effects of the majority moving out to the extremes.i have also seen the live of individuals so changed and charged with a simpler need to pass on belief in a God that will respond to the individual Personally not to his church or the local government . i realize that this has always been a radical thought but No one needs religion or government to reach God . All of the great teachers have said this Mohammad Christ Buddha Yahweh the great spirit etc .An in the end the only way to reach purity of action is for everyone reach God and beacuse that only happens rarely in this universe we will have to wait to die and wait the end off all existance. Self revalation cannot be enforced. God has placed the salvation of a Humans Free choice and we cant control others morality. The person choice is his own and God will be his Final judge all others take a chance of also being Unpure in imposing despodism on other men as we all are equal in our inpurity as is .

There is no marriage for two people of the same sex. It's in the bible and if you're not a believer it's just unnatural. So called partners get benefits just as spouses do. Just don't call them man and man or woman and woman. Sounds strange, doesn't?
"They don't really care what you do, just don't push your lifestyle on to them. Freedom of Religion was the reason this Nation was formed. People had values, some still do.
Abortions are inmoral, many woman choose abortion as a form of birth control.

Do you EVER give up with the hateful attacks on Islam? Do you even understand any Muslims from 'Islamic international places'? I doubt it you do, yet i understand many. they're surprisingly knowledgeable and many times get a extra perfect training than human beings in 'western international locations.' those who commit crimes antagonistic to humanity oftentimes are lesser knowledgeable, yet they make up a tiny percentage of the Muslim inhabitants. you want to also study the heritage of alternative religions (extremely Christianity) and also you'll locate it too has a decrease than perfect heritage.

Realy it is because American culture and socialization therein teaches the value of the individual. This is often misinterpereted by a person and translated into "I am the individual and they are the group; therefore, I am more important and can tell them what is right and wrong." That's my take on it anyway.

it's a balance in life. we need ignorant, intolerant, and self-righteous people so that we can realize (from the living-proof examples) that we shouldn't be like that in the first place. do you understand what i mean? we need good and evil. without evil, how do we even know that we're good? so, by presenting ignorance, intolerance, and self-righteousness into the world... we can learn from it (the mistakes of it) and improve our selves to become better people. i hope this makes sense.

Why do I care that a child is being murdered because of someone's sexual irresponsibilty? Just like a person dies because someone decided to DUI? You're right, a fetus is just a piece of property, just like a "n*gger" was just a piece of property.
Extremists of any kind are narrow and bigoted, including yourself.
Intolerant=moral anarchist terminology for someone who knows the difference between right and wrong.

let's say you have a neighbor, and one day he just starts kicking his dog. Then he teaches his children to kick his dog. Do you care? Yes or no and why?
Should they be free to live their own lives, since it is their dog? Or do you want to put a stop to it?
