nope. we are already overpopulated. can you imaging living forever and still having next generations creating babies? what would the "normal size" house or lot be ? instead of 50 x 150 it would be like half that size. and look at all the starving people now, can you imagine you add population to chaos? nope. not a good idea in my opinion. besides, if you were wanting to "bring" a loved one back, it would be totally null and void b/c they wouldn't have the same memories as that person passed has had. we are all trying to hang onto love and life (who could blame us) but can't be done.

That's not a science question, it's a moral question to ask. A lot of people would fear of what would happen if a human was clone. I really don't see that happening anytime soon. Even if science do clone a human, the baby would die after a couple of years. The reason why is that the science really don't know how to clone something right the first try or the twice or third try. They would have to test and modify any problem to the clone. Even if a human is clone and could live a full life, the human race would not let it live. The human clone would have to live in a cell in fear of being killed by religous, crazy or general people that don't like the clone. I hope that somewhat answers your question.

sure why the hell not, as long as a clone of me is not made, and then comes and trys to kill me and take over my life, then screws with it and goes on a homicidal rampage, leading to a slow and painful death. yah, cloning is okay with me!

I'm uneasy about it and stunned by the concept.

Yet.

I think it's inevitable --it's gonna happen for various reasons. Ego is one of 'em.
