I'm very skeptical. Sure, anything can happen in that time, but remember that Nostradamus was cryptic and vague in his predictions and how they get interpreted in retrospect of certain events has a lot to do with believers trying to find connections in the myth and prove these points after the fact.
That said, it can happen. In 30 years a lot can change so it is possible. Today India leads the world in telephone technical support, tomorrow they lead the world into the 22nd Century.

India is certainly a world power already, in terms of its economic growth, stature in the world of science and technology, and of course it's substantial population.

i'm very positive that India will the most powerful country by 2036. 2036 is a very long way to go...i think it'll achieve power before that time. india might not b progressing at the needed speed but soon it'll pick up the speed.

in the time and era when nostradamus existed there was no entity named 'india'. it wasnt even a single united country, there were states ruled by different kings, then how could nostradamus have predicted this?
i'm an indian too, and love my country......but get real.....and stop making up stupit, illogical statement.

According to Nostradamus, it is said that Spain will win the world cup, but it crashed out in QF itself. May be the analysis was wrong.
I have also read the same thing. Well, many of his predictions have come true. The way India is making progress nowadays leads to that conclusion. But, Indians quarrel among themselves over caste, river etc. which may be detrimental to the progress of the country. It is predicted that the 3rd world war will be lead by an Indian, who will eventually win the war and peace will prevail all over the world. Please wait and see.

Nostradamus made a prediction of many things. Actually he used a coded language that each interpret it the way they want and can. i donno if india will overtake usa. maybe by 2036 ppl will realize that the country Nostradamus was actually talkin' about was _____ not India, and the country overtaken actually was ______ not usa.

It's entirely possible if we don't so something in this country to bring people together. And with so many of our jobs going over there... and with so many of the politicians not giving a rat's behind about anything but themselves and their career.
But who knows... perhaps Korea will get tired of Bush's crap and shoot a missile over here to shut him up and we'll all have to pay for it.
