The egg did because as it was forming in the egg it changed in there before it was hatched.. there for when something else layed the egg it changed inside due to Kliment or radiation what ever ..but when it hatched it was the first of its kind and I believe a nest of eggs did this in order for the chicken to continue to be cause they reproduced with themselves and made more chickens from there on...

THE EGG!!
Initially you had something which was similar to a chicken, but not quite a chicken. It had a mutation in one of its eggs/sperm so that an EGG came out that was of a full chicken.

well it would depend on what you believed if you believe in god the the chicken came first because god made everything.,but if you believe in evelution darwins theroy then the egg came first because you need the male to fertilize to make chickens
