I'd like to ride one of my neighbor's cows at night...but i've heard stories of people trying this and they try and stomp you or something...i plan to just climb the fence and hop on...or go in and try to climb on...is it safe?

When I was a lad, I rode cows all time. I lived on a dairy farm in Central Indiana and it was my job to move the cows from one pasture to another. I would ride one of the cows rather than walk.
The worst that can happen is that you will land on your butt . If you want to try it, do it. If everything I did was to put safety first I would stay in bed all day and not move. Boring, boring, boring !
Have fun! Ride a cow !

Unless your neghbor has some very freindly (spoiled) cows you are going to find that they will carefully keep you just outta reach. On average a cow can run faster than a person, so I dont give good odds on you getting close enough. Then you get to greet the ire of the neighbor who will NOT appreciate you bothering his cows. If you are really unlucky you can then explain the trespassing violation to the police.

PS cow tipping is the same sport as snipe hunting

Look at bull riding. A cow isn't as bad but a lot of the injuries can be the same. Try another way of dieing. If you get hurt at night you may lay there till morning. That's a loooong time in pain before help comes.

Ride-um cow poke, Well that's a new one. Why not climb the fence and jump on the back of a steer instead. Why, I'll even guarantee that you will have far more fun on those funny looking animals.. Try it....You'll like it... Honest..

Sounds hella fun! You could practice your balance ahead of time by riding a barrel for your strength and safety. I wouldn't suggest just hoping on with no way to hold yourself up there, cows are not accustom to being rode so they will be quite wild and crazy!! You should maybe try a mechanical bull first, they are ALOT of fun and good practice! Happy riding...

Well, not only is it illegal, but I think it might be boring. You would have to find a rather lively cow,I think.I don't really know anything about cows, but why would you want to?Just don't go cow-tipping.If they are dangerous, that would sure tick 'em off.Ride a cow.Now I've heard it all!

It depends on the cow. I grew up on a cattle farm that had dairy cows and beef cattle. The old dairy cows were so used to people that I could ride on them and they didn't care. The beef cattle hadn't been handled much and would try to kill somebody if they tried to ride them!
