Hi there,
Since I love sociology I could not resist your question, in spite of
the fact that I have about a million household chores to do! haha..
But seriously, I presume that you are referring to the general
state of political divisiveness, societal change, and economic
disarray that we find ourselves in these days, correct?
In that sense, yes, we are in a time of great challenge, and
we are in the basket already! However, if you observe carefully,
you will see that in fact this is a worldwide trend, that is to say--
we as a human race face changes of biblical proportion on
many fronts. I am not traditionally religious, but whatever one's
belief system may be, this observation can be made by anyone
with a brain, heart, a bit of thougtfulness, and eyes to see.
The good news, in my estimation, is that humans will ultimately
endure in some fashion. Truly, in an awkward but still notable way,
we are moving towards a global society which will find greater
unification as time goes on--I know that when you read about
terrorism, crime, etc, it seems hard to believe that a positive global
trend is really the dominant factor, but I firmly believe that it is
a part and parcel of our human evolution--we will overcome
terrorists, hatred, and all of the rest.
You will note that our use of the internet today, to share ideas
and thoughts, is the use of a global tool, a truly wonderful
thing. The internet alone is transforming the world community,
at a steady pace. Add to that "up to the minute" cable news,
cell phones, and other technologies which link people together
rapidly, and you will appreciate that we really are evolving into
a global society. In the end I do think that human productivity,
human concern and the desire to grow together as a world
society, will prevail, in spite of the wrenching problems which
the world faces today.
I hope that you will email to me with your response, I am LIsa
in Los Angeles area, lisashetler@yahoo.com.
So anyhow, Take Heart! Read between the headlines with the bad
news, recognize that with someof the bad comes much good as
well. ....I recommend this book: "ALL CONNECTED NOW,"
by Truett Anderson. It talks about the trend towards a global
society, and it is a fascinating book.
Take Care,
Lisa

sure, it type of sounds like we lost our collective soul as a human beings and we've change into or tolerate those who're in it for greed and under no circumstances the nationwide good, like politicians, pharmaceutical lobbyist, and warfare lobbyist. even as Jonas Salk got here up with the vaccine for polio he did not make a earnings on it, because he knew the international became dealing with a health disaster and he had to assist end it instead of sitting decrease back like the pharmacy businesses to ascertain how a lot he ought to have shaken us down for. yet now in case you go back up with a sparkling drug that permits those with severe circumstances, the drug businesses value as a lot as they ruthlessly can get away with and no matter if human beings can arise with the money for the drugs is under no circumstances a interest.

Well, the world has been around alot longer than we have. At one point in time there weren't any settlers here. Chances are there won't be any at some other time.
