that such a sweet story!! i can tell youre an animal lover, so am i! i currently own a black lab named, Laika, a cat named Happy, a turtle named Princeton, 2 parakeets named Santiago and Lola and a little rabbit named Chikee. almost all of them, i have brought them in, each one has its little story to tell how they ended to be mine. but the one i am most affectionate too is my rabbit, not that i dont love all the other ones, its just that he is my little buddy as i am away from home.
i found him while my bf was driving along a busy main street turning along at a corner. i saw some type of animal hopping along the sidewalk about 3 feet away from the car. we immediatly stopped and i thought, 'what is a rabbit doing in such a noisy busy street? he began eating the wild grass along the sidewalk as if nothing was ever happening. i felt bad for the little animal and couldnt even tell if it was a wild rabbit or not. so we decided to capture it and leave out in the wild away from the streets. it wasnt hard at all to get it, it was even weird, it was like he was lettig me get him. we got him and i noticed he didnt even intend to bite me nor escape. i held him in my lap and he was trembling kinda scared. from then on, i knew he was going home with me.
days passed and he loved it being inside a warm home (it was a cold september). he would be free while i was at home and in his cage while i was away, then one day, i came inside my room and i found him laying there on his back, he didnt respond after the noise i made coming inside the room. i yelled his name and he layed still. i immediatly thought, my rabbit is dead! i ran to his cage yelling again and again, no response until i got hold of the cage and as i opened up the door, he jumped up. he had been simply sleeping....from then on i tested him clapping my hands behind him, any rabbit would react right?, he was calmer than anything, he was deaf. lightning would strick, fireworsk would go off and he would simply lay as ifnothing ever happend.
so from then on, it all made sense why he was at that busy street, why ran along the street as if he wasnt risking anything, but in all, i love to think of it that, it was him who ran along my bf' car saying 'its me! its me! taking me home! please!! please!!' like he knew exactly who was the ideal person to ask for help.
the issue here in italy is that a lot of people have the tendency to abandon their pets, its become a big problem and laws have been enforced in the last 3 years, but it still happens. this little rabbit was meant to land in my arms and be loved by someone who would never leave him and love him for ever.

About 4 years ago I was looking on Craigslist for a dog. I found an ad for a dog that was 9-10 years old. I called about him and they were moving and were going to have to take him to the pound where he would be put down. He turned out to be the best dog we have ever had. He is now 14. About a month ago we were looking for a friend for him on Craigslist. I found an ad for a dog. That weekend it was 110 degrees all weekend and this dog was kept outside 24/7. I had someone bring her to us. She is such a sweetheart. It is apparent that she was treated poorly though by previous owners. They got rid of her because they didn't want to take care of her anymore is what they said.

My son had wandered off in the woods behind the house. I knew he got turned around, so I said to our dog, a Brittany Spaniel, go get Michael. She darted into the woods and 20 minutes later they both came walking out.

my rabbit defends the Guinea pig from the cat on our left by beating the living crap out of it, it washes the cat on our right, swings on the towels by her teeth on the washing line (i would stop her as she could get hurt but i cant catch her doing it) she plays with dogs and even set one on the Guinea pig. she throws temper tantrums if she cant get what she wants and will stamp, grunt, dig your feet and throw things if told no. she kept escaping over an 7ft wall. and when i had her spayed she came in the house and pooped all over my bedroom as pay back.
she is the bunny from hell!!!
(but she is helping me dad recover in hospital so i guess she ain't that bad.)

well, my story is not that amazing, but my large fancy rat got a little upset with me one day. i was trying to switch them to a different formula of food because it seemed(to me) to be more nutritious for him. well, he thought different. during this process he would act pitiful and depressed. i thought he was going to die on me. after a few days of this, i was watching the cage. he went over to his new bowl of food and flipped it over and gave me a very challenging look. so that very day, i went and got their original food.
from that day one he acted just fine. i'm guessing it was a subtle way of telling me that this food just sucks up to high heaven and i want my favorite food back. spoiled rat, but i love the fire out of him. he's my lap rat. :o)

My tabby cat learned how to open doorknobs. He's a big cat, and if he can sit on a ledge or counter close enough to a doorknob, he can open it.

It's a simple one. When I point my finger at my dog like a gun , and say "BANG", it falls over......for cheese of course. GOOD Dachshund.
