I would like to add a link to my blog page,that connects to a movie in my shared documents,and or connect to a site already on the web.

the first and the foremost thing to understand is that the shared documents folder on your computer is not accessible by a blog page or a web page.
you will have to first upload the video on a file sharing website like youtube. once uploaded, they will automatically generate a link. you can then paste that link in your blog page.
secondly, if you have a video link directly from a website, then you'll have to embed a media player within the blog page.
