Anyone else listening to the Allman Bros tonight? (sucking down some cold brews?)
I've got "Live at the Atlanta Pop Festival" (1970) going right now

What's your favorite Allman Brothers song? Mine is a toss up between Stormy Monday and Whipping Post, but I could throw Dont Keep Me Wondering or 1 Way Out in the mix.
Do you have any favorite concert memories? I saw them my senior year right after Jerry Garcia died. It was freaking religious. The dead heads jumped on the Allman Brothers tour. Freaking amazing! They played for almost 5 hours.

What are you guys listening to?
How old R U and what kind of tunes do you bump late at night when you are computing and possibly enjoying a drink!

I love ABB. I saw them in the 80's at an ampitheatre in San Diego. They played for four hours straight. It was the best concert I've ever been to. My favorite song from them is Jessica. I love there jam sessions. And my favorite album by them is Eat A Peach. I have most of them, and there all really good. Even with all the band member changes over the years, they still deliver high quality Southern rock. Rock on ABB!

Sweet Melissa is my favourite Allman Brothers song.I don't know which band you were listening to, but a lot of the originals were dead long before Jerry Garcia.....

I've seen them twice. Last time was in 93 with the Jeff Healy band. Too cool for words. I'll never forget it.

If I had to pick a favorite, I'd say it would be Jessica. Damn that song just does it for me. Great rhythm and a nice long lead jam.

Thanks for posting this. I just plugged that song in and I'm listening to it right now. :-)

My favorite album senior year in college was ABB at Fillmore East. Whipping Post is great, but I have a slight preference for Elizabeth Reed, Hot Lanta and You Don't Love Me. I also love Les Brers in A minor and It's not my Cross to Bear. I saw them in Central Park; also at Watkins Glen; and also (I'm reminded) in Passaic. I don't remember much more than that they were great.
