Why not both? They're not that far. I'm sure you can find cheap bus fares or a rental car.

Orlando is my favourite place to visit in America. The reason is this: In Orlando, the level of monetary investment has been so heavy that you are getting far more value for your money than you can most anywhere in the country! Not only that, but talent in food, performance, and service is highly valued and evident everywhere in Orlando. For example, I know of several Brits who live in Orlando simply so that they can welcome guests and Disney or Universal Studios and be a part of the excitement. Orlando is full of people who have saved and waited their whole lives to enjoy several days there, and as a result the smiles on the faces of virtually everyone you meet and the sense of camaraderie is unbeatable! Orlando will give you the experience of a lifetime...something special you'll never ever forget. Miami will give you something you could get in any huge city with nightclubs and a beach.

I would opt for Orlando. South Beach is cool and is the playground of the rich and famous, but unless you are a part of that group you will be very disappointed. Orlando has a great nightlife, much cheaper accommodations and is generally a few degrees cooler and is a little more protected against storms than Miami is!

It depends on what you want. Orlando is very congested with all the tourists. But they have alot of theme parks and fun stuff that is like family oriented. They have alot of "universal things" that you wouldn't find anywhere else. However, Miami has a lot of night clubs and more "adult" features. They have alot of traffic and there are alot of hispanics so it can be difficult to communicate if you need to with the locals. But they do have alot of businesses and such as Miami is the "gateway to the Americas" .

It all depends if you are over 21. If you are, Miami is the place to be to go out partying and meet people. Miami offers one of the best nightlife entertainment in the country.

If you are not over 21, Orlando offers the necessary pleasures to amuse yourself while on vacations. I personally would recomend, if you choose orlando, to visit EVERYTHING. You dont want to miss a thing there.

Take care and enjoy!

Orlando! I'm from Florida, and stay away from Miami as much as possible! Go to the Keys. It's safer.

I've lived in both and they are two completely different places. Orlando has tourist parks. It has adult parks, but, is great for kids. Some good places to eat

Miami and Miami Beach is much more sophisticated, has clubs, shopping, super eating places and great beaches - more for adults. Quite cosmopolitan on South Beach. Miami has a aquarium, museums, missions, mansions, marinas to tour.

Orlando most definitely. I went to Disney World on my honeymoon and had a blast! Plus if your over 21 they have an island called Pleasure island. You take a boat to this island full of bars and clubs. You can have fun during the day at the parks and party at night at the clubs. If you also wanna drink you can drink at Epcot at the world showcase. You can have a beer from every country. We were told that EPCOT stands for Every Person Comes Out Trashed. lol.

Orlando can't compare to Miami's spice, if you ask me. Plus, Orlando isn't on the beach. If you want to go to amusement parks, then Orlando can't be beat. But, if it's latin culture, great beaches, shopping, amazing food, the list goes on....head to Miami!

I live near Orlando. It's centered more around kids. If you're into partying, go to Miami.

If you do come to Orlando, be careful. Traffic is hell and there's ton's of tourists.
