What I don't understand is we are attacking a country because we though they might have access to the materials to make nuclear weapons, but we shrug off a country that not only has the capability but is already testing. Don't the prez have his priorities a little screwed up??? I am just asking!!!!

Not really.
First off, there is not really much that Bush can do at this point. Our troops are very much overextended now. This war machine that we now have is hemorrhaging money and materials at a mind blowing pace.
Today on the news, he was pushing for diplomacy, which he should have started using back when he first included them in the "Axis of Evil" Oh My! Now that they are making progress on their nuclear capibilities, its getting to be a little bit late.
I believe N.korea to be a satellite of China. I dont think that they would initiate anything without China's approval. And when, or if, Chinal wants to start something, I think they will start by using N. Korea.
Im kind of oversimplifying here, but I think this is more sword-rattling by N.Korea to help them to get more aid and concessions. It is also thought by many, thankfully, that N.Korea is many years away from being a serious threat.

In Iraq we knew Sadam had weapons and he ignored the UN many times and then wouldn't allow weapons inspectors in. Many other countires intellegence agencies were stating he had weapons as well as our own. We couldn't hide out heads in the sand and wait for an attack again after 911.

In regards to North Korea, America is the farthest away and we have Ronald Reagan's Star Wars missile defense system. The North Koreans missiles aren't even capable of hitting us anyways currently nor have they fully developed their program. This hasn't been brought up with the UN yet so America can't go in and attack North Korea. First the UN then allow N. Korean's neighbors put pressure on them.

Bush is completely focused on Iraq. I think it is stupid for him to be focused on a country that has no access to any weapons (except ours of course) and not focus on North Korea. North Korea may cause the destruction of this country, and yet, Bush is completely focused on oil.

I agree with you he does have his priorities screwed up, and my answer is this: he is a bad president.

Actually, no...

Bush realized (or his flunkies realized for him...wait, maybe he's the flunky) that unilateral decision making does not make for a popular president in this country or the rest of the world. With his poll numbers down, the Repubs realize that (in this election year) they need to try out that "wussy" liberal thing called diplomacy. PLUS, our military is overextended as it is, and it's obvious the rest of the world isn't going to stand beside us when we go rushing into arrogant Crusades against evil. Does that make sense?

"W" is just dopey. He doesn't think things through at all.

"W" is very much like "Darren Stevens," Samantha's dull husband on the old "Bewitched" television series. He gets cranky over the craziest details (without being charming or funny when he does so) and ignores the obvious.

And his mother is a dead ringer for "Aunt Agatha" on that show.

Sure, but you are talking about the same man who within this week also gave up the hunt for Bin Laden. Now who is proud to be an American, where at least you know if you die in a terrorist scheme nothing will be done about it.

Bush is pushing hard for serious sanctions against N. Korea but the other world leaders are the ones who will not cooperate.

Right! Total incompetence. And now because of the big Iraq mistake we have no power.
