I live in an over crowed unfriendly city, where the crime rate has sky rocketed over the past 7 months, we have a record breaking 37 or so murders since January. I want to move to a small town, someplace nice and friendly where you know almost everyone. Like on the Gilmore Girls or Pratical Magic (post angry mob not pre) but I don't know of any. So I need names and states of places that are perfect. I like trees, and water, some place not too small, but not super big.

Check out Durango, Colorado. Also Destin, Florida. Finally, Eureka, California. Depends on the geography you prefer, but these are all nice small towns.

Upsate South Carolina has some nice areas. Western NC(Asheville) is nice too.
