It looks like you're doing pretty well, as far as that paragraph goes. Just keep trying. I can't really say whose fault it is, but it sounds to me like it's probably mostly the school's fault. Try to read as much as possible, and wdrk as hard as you can at it. If you need additional help, you could try getting a tutor or just some grammar books. Anything that you think will help. Ask your parents for help as well.

Hello,
I think all you need is to practice your spelling more. Do you have a hard time reading? If so, does your Mom know that you are having a difficult time reading & spelling? You could have a minor learning disorder. With the right teacher you could get the help that you need. I don't think it is your fault. I have a 13 year old boy & he has had some learning difficulties too. He has a great teacher now that has helped him to improve in the areas he was struggling in. If I were you, I would make sure my parent knows how much I was struggling & ask them for help.
If people make fun of you, it's just because they are insecure & it makes them feel "better" when they are putting someone else down. I know it's hard, but try not to take it personally when they are mean like that. They are just big jerks! : )
Good luck to you!

Right now is not the time to point the finger and play the blame game. I had a very hard time learning when I was in school. I was ok in spelling, but punctuation and capitalization were well below standard. I taught myself what I needed to know by playing games with a dictionary. I'm not a good reader. I am dyslexic, so my reading has always been very slow. I took advantage of that. As I read I noticed punctuation and grammar better. I also asked why a lot. When I could, I went to a used book store looking for English work books. Often, I used them as games. "What does the sentence sound like?" "Would it sound better with a comma, semi-colon, or a period?" Don't be afraid to look for a tutor when you get planted in high school. Find people you can trust who can help you. Libraries often have people who can help.

What is the reason you didn't learn these things? Did you miss class a lot or did you not care? Just wondering. I think it's great that you know what happened and now it's time to do something about it. I would suggest that you get a tutor to help you. Since you are out of school for the summer, try reading more. This will help you increase your vocabulary and you will feel comfortable speaking to people. As far as the fault goes, the fauly goes with three individuals...you, your parents and the school.
You because you knew what you were supposed to do. It was probably instilled in you that you needed to know how to read to get ahead. It's your parents fault for not spendind enough time with you, checking your homework and your reading skills. It's your school's fault for passing you to the next grade when you didn't meet the criteria.
At this point, I would focus on learning what you can before you reach age 18. Please read more and this will take you a lot of places. Much success to you because even though this looks like a bad situation, you're smart enough to do something about it NOW.

The blame for poor education belongs to you, the school and your parents.
The school shouldn't have pushed you along if you didn't have the fundamentals down. The teachers should have recognized you were having problems and helped you or held you back instead of passing you. Passing you to the next grade without the basic skills you need made it that much more difficult for you to get a good, solid education.
Your parents should take a more active role in your education. Attend and participate in PTA meetings, go to parent/teacher meetings. They should also sit with you while you do your homework, reinforcing the material. They'd be able to see if you're struggling and then could talk to your teacher about it or find you a tutor.
Without knowing your study habits, I'd say that you're the least to blame at this point. You should evaluate your study habits, do you sit in front of the tv when you should be studying? Or listening to music? Or talking on your cell? If you do, get out of those habits.
Sit at the kitchen table with your parents, have them proof your homework. If you're having trouble, ask for help. Ask your teachers for some extra help so that you can get the material down. Pay attention in class, even though you may think it's boring. It'll help you make sense of the homework later on.

school's, and your parents' too. the school should've held you back or required you a tutor or something, just to make sure that you absorb whatever it is that they're teaching you. it's also your parents' fault because it's their responsibility that you learn at home too. just because you go to school doesn't mean that your parents won't have to teach you stuff anymore. they should know that learning process is a continuous one, it doesn't end right after you go home from school. you shouldn't blame yourself for this kind of incapability, in fact, you should make it as your motivation. strive harder, ask help from your teachers and friends, learn as much as you can and you show those bullies that you won't be stuck being an incompetent for the rest of your life. good luck!

Hey, don't be upset. everyone is not born as a genius. i have gone through the same. it's not difficult at all to learn new things. if you have the will to do it. As you mentioned to correct your pronunciation, the best way is to break up the word in parts, depending upon the length of he word and slowly and steadily pronounce it. This will help you learn. also try and watch english News channels like BBc to improve upon your English and gain more knowledge.
