My bf's mom seems to care about who he liikes and dates.How can I get her out of that?

Parents care because they remember that tiny baby they held in their arms 15 years ago. That child was the center of mom's life for much of the first 5 or 6 years. It is just not possible to stop a mother from loving someone whom she has given so much of her life to. And you are foolish to think she should stop being concerned; ask any mother why she cares!

well actually that would be up to th bf...You would NOT score any points.
I don't know your situation...but if you have the chance to be around her...try this..ask her opinion...like with a school/work situation...make it up...of coarse don't make yourself look as if you don't get along with others...lets see ...say something like..I saw someone bump anothers car and it left a dent...they know it too, and didnt leave a note or anything...its really something I can't stop thinking about..what would you do??? and then she'd give her "advise"...and then you can lighten up and sya ok...well I think you should know...BF hit your car...(TEE HEE just kidding)..but thanks..I agree with you I guess i just needed to be validated.....goofey...yeah but ya gotta get your foot in the door...
COMPLIMENT....remember something she made in the past and ask like...ya know at xmas you made that blah blah dish...it was soo good i'd like to try that sometime...and if she tells you...lighten up and say..when I make it...i'll have to bring it by so you can be my guinea pig...well maybe leave that part off if she's not the playful type!! well when I feel brave I'll have to bring it by for the chefs opinion...
or your son told me you make great meatballs....Do you have a starters reciepe? I'd love to try that!!

Parents have to PASS ON THE FAMILY SCRIPT to the next generation, and that means their precious offspring can only associate with people who think and play the right way.
Parents really care about this, though they seldom realize it. They CARE and SNOOP a lot. Be careful.

The sooner you realize that, the sooner you will be a happy person.
NOW - the questions SHOULD be - how do you deal with a boyfriend who has a mom that hates you?
That is a more complicated answer and depends on how much he listens to his mom.

you cant! that is her baby, her son, her life!!!
i never understood that either till i had children. i want them to be happy, and i know that they will date people i may not like, but that doesn't mean i will sit there and say nothing. my JOB as a parent is to make sure my children are as safe as possible!
respect her for caring! far too many parents don't.
i also find it strange that you would ask that and your nic be "daddy's little sweetie"....your dad, im sure cares a great deal who YOU date.

Well, I don´t think u can. Just try to be friend´s with her, or least get her to like u. Then maybe she´ll feel more comfortable with u and she´ll get out of ur business.

You can't, she LOVES her son, she wants the BEST for him! She's worried about his future and what he will make of himself! She obviously doesn't want some skank to come along and ruin any chance of a fruitful future he may have(are YOU that person???)!!!
Don't BLAME her for wanting the best for her son!
Do your parents not care who you date??? THEY SHOULD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
