It depends where in the dark. Once I was in the woods alone, I was very afraid for the first 15 minutes. After that, I got accustomed to the surroudning.
If you put me in a dark in a place where I am a stranger, yes I would be afraid, not until I understood my situtation.
People are afraid when they don't understand something..

sometimes I am afraid of the dark and I am 32 yrs old. For some reason I may think that something is watching me or there is an entity there. So that is why I sleep with the TV on. Depending how tired I am , I can fall asleep in the dark, but it makes me comfortable to pull the covers up just in case I wake up and see something.

Yes. I am 37 and still afraid of tha dark. When I was a small child, I was sent down to the dark cellar for ANY bad thing I did. I was punished this way for a long time. As a kid, I imagined all kindsa scary things. That kind of thing can affect you for a LONG time!

No, I'm not.
I think the dark for me is a place where you could fix your mind, imagine your best of your dreams and have some relax without any person just you.
When I'm in the dark listening music makes me feel free and comfortable. It gives me some remembers.
