Verizon wireless by far. I have sold cellphones for 7 years and have never found a better carrier. I have sold Sprint, Nextel, T-Mobile Cincinnati Bell Wireless and Verizon. Sprint and Nextel coverage is not even close to Verizon's. The Same with T-Mobile. Cingular is the only company that has near a service map close to Verizon's quality. I had a Cingular phone for about 2 months and paid the cancellation fee to switch back to Verizon because cingulars reception was so bad in my area, even though their map showed full coverage where I live. Also Verizon is going to change their contracts soon. (According to Phonescoop.com) The new contracts are going to prorate cancellation fees over the term of the contract instead of charging a full $175. if you only have 3 months left in your contract you only pay a cancellation fee that is prorated for three months. Also Verizon is going to let customers start upgrading their cell phones after just one year of service instead of two. I have been with verizon for 10 years. I have tried switching to other companies and always come back to Verizon because nothing else can compete!

Just a forewarning: Go through a cell phone company that does not require a contract! Every person that I know and have ever talked to regarding cell phones has had a complaint for one thing or another and wishes they could cancel their contract.
The companies that do not require contracts normally do not have the best plans available but they are always much easier to deal with because they need your business instead of taking advantage of you by keeping you in a contract.
